Palmer to host the XIII Orlando Costas Conference on October 14

MariaOn Saturday, October 14 from 12:30 pm- 3:15 pm (EST), Palmer Theological Seminary will celebrate the XIII Orlando E. Costas Conference. Palmer Seminary is very excited to have the participation of latinx practitioners and scholars such as Maria Alejandra Andrade Vinueza (image right), José Santos Ríos, Anabel Guerrero, Laura Baltodano Bonilla, Noé Trujillo & Suriana González.

The Orlando E. Costas Lectureship was established to honor the work of the late missiologist and theologian who died in 1987 at the age of 45. He is remembered for his passionate advocacy for the voiceless and oppressed. He left a major mark on a number of Latino/a scholars, having written 14 books and contributed to 17 additional books and 40 journals. 

Dr. Costas’ life of scholarship has paved the way for many Latino/a scholars. 

The Conference will be held virtually via Zoom, Youtube live and Facebook live.
