In collaboration with the Suburban Baptist Association of Southeast Pa, this gathering will take place at the Antioch Baptist Church, located at 200 Logan Avenue, Glenside, Pa., 19038. The program is scheduled from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, offering a focused morning of professional development and practical training. Attendees will be served a hot breakfast at 8:30 am, providing an opportunity for fellowship and networking with colleagues from various ministry contexts before the sessions begin. The registration cost for this comprehensive summit is $15, ensuring that these essential resources for ministry succession remain accessible to a wide range of church leaders.
Speakers and Presenters
The summit features a distinguished lineup of speakers who bring decades of experience in strategic leadership, pastoral care, and denominational service. Participants will hear from:
- Rev. Dr. Donald D. Moore: A collaborative leader with decades of experience across ministry and public sectors.
- Rev. Albert Campbell: Pastor Emeritus of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, known for his prophetic messages on authentic faith and his role as a mentor to many in the ministry. Reverends Moore and Campbell have experienced a very healthy model of succession in ministry at Mt. Carmel.
- MMBB Representative: Providing expert insights into financial wellness, retirement planning, and the administrative readiness essential for clergy preparedness, MMBB, the co-sponsor of this summit will offer valuable insight for those beginning their ministry journey as well as steps those who are seasoned in ministry can take. They will also be present for one-on-one sessions.
- ABHMS Representative: Offering a broader perspective from the American Baptist Home Mission Societies on healthy models for clergy, the transition office ABHMS will be sending a representative to speak to church leaders.
