Theodore Cyril lives in Doylestown, PA. He has lived in Pennsylvania for the last 18 years. He is originally from India but has since immigrated to the United States. He is married and has three children. 

Growing up, Cyril’s family was not in a very good financial situation. Because of this, although he had wanted to pursue seminary studies since high school, he chose a different field of study to get a better-paying job to support his parents. He has been in the software industry for over 20 years and currently works as a Technical Product Owner. However, he has continued to contribute to small-group ministries by leading Bible studies at his church. 

There came a time when he began to notice problems with how the church he was in was being managed and how the church staff was being treated by the senior pastor. He started voicing his concerns on the church board he was part of. He faced significant backlash for speaking out against the senior pastor and was portrayed as the villain. However, along with another member of the church, he took the issue up with the denominational leadership. After a lengthy investigation, his complaint was upheld, and the senior pastor was admonished. Cyril has since moved on to another church, but this situation led him to an intense self-examination and to feel compelled in his spirit to enroll in seminary, not only to look more deeply into Scripture but also to understand his own role and calling. 

Cyril is now doing his MDiv (Openseminary) and has also been preaching and teaching at a few churches in the Pennsylvania-New Jersey area. His primary interest is in how to effectively teach people the correct theological viewpoint amid the cultural challenges the church currently faces.
