Jimmy Arthur Atkins

Jimmy Arthur Atkins earned a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University with a focus on strategic organizational development and design. Atkins previously served as an Associate Professor at Pfeiffer University, where he taught courses in leadership and organizational behavior. He has also taught at the University of Charleston W.V and as Visiting Professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda in Germany.

Beyond his academic appointments, Atkins serves as Senior Pastor of True Worship Christian
Fellowship in Cary, North Carolina. He volunteers in many community-based organizations that address systemic issues impacting the quality of life in minoritized communities in North Carolina. He has written and published at the intersection of faith, leadership, and community change.

Atkins is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry in Contextual Leadership at Palmer Theological Seminary with a focus on Prophetic Preaching and Teaching. His research focuses on the role of prophetic preaching in shaping spiritual consciousness and public witness.

When he is not in the pulpit, he enjoys traveling, outdoor grilling and smoking different meats, and spending quality time with his wife, Kecia and their two sons, James and George.
