Irving Drake
Rev. Irving Drake is a dedicated faith leader, teacher, and ministry servant committed to spiritual growth, community engagement, and youth development. As a reverend at Holy Cross Baptist Church, he serves as co-leader of the youth ministry, helping guide young people in their faith journey through mentorship, encouragement, and practical biblical teaching. In addition, he teaches Bible study and leads new members classes, supporting individuals and families as they deepen their understanding of scripture, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and become meaningfully connected to the church community.
With a heart for service and a passion for equipping others, Irving brings compassion, leadership, and a teaching-centered approach to ministry. Through work with youth, Bible study participants, and new members, Rev. Drake seeks to foster welcoming spaces where people can learn, grow, ask questions, and live out their faith with confidence and purpose.
Reverend Irving Drake has also worked 20 years in the fields of Human Resources and Training and Development. Irving currently is employed as the Director of Training and Development with Quality Management Associates, in Palmyra, NJ. He has spent more than a decade developing programs to support executives, managers, clinicians, and direct support professionals in the fields of mental illness, behavioral health, and developmental disabilities.
He is a certified crisis trainer through Crisis Prevention Institute and is currently pursuing a MDiv at Palmer Theological Seminary at Eastern University. He is married to his loving wife and a proud girls dad. In his free time, he enjoys studying the unlimited riches of the Holy Scripture, reading, writing, painting, playing his guitars and drums.
Irving is honored to serve as the second moderator for the Online Student Assembly (OSA). He looks forward to fostering connections with fellow students online, students on the ground and with university staff; deepening fellowship and continuing to build community.
