Folashade is of mixed Nigerian (Yoruba ) and American heritage; she embraces her multicultural background. Her love for learning has cultivated her passion for cultural diversity and given her a desire to serve others from various backgrounds. For 15 years, Folashade has been an active member of All Nations Evangelistic Church in Harrisburg, PA. Where she has been serving in several ministries, including ushering, hospitality, and the ministry most dear to her heart: children’s ministry. She faithfully served in the children’s ministry for over 10 years before being officially ordained as a Children’s Pastor in 2025. Folashade has a heart for the generations. With a passion to see God be glorified from generation to generation. Her favorite phrase is “ He is Lord over the generations.” She has worked with children, youth, and young adults in various settings over the years. 

Folashade obtained her AA in Social Work from Reading Area Community College. She continued her education, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Shippensburg University. She is now enrolled in Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, where she is working to obtain her Master of Divinity degree. Her end goal is to obtain either a PhD in Social Work or a Juris Doctorate in Law. Her intent is to integrate her faith with her practice to support people from all walks of life, so that they can walk into their divine purpose without hindrance. 

Professionally, Folashade has worked in the social work field with clients who have intellectual disabilities, families within the child welfare system, persons experiencing homelessness, women survivors of sex trafficking, domestic violence survivors, and at-risk youth. She has now turned her attention to working in academia. She has served as a social worker in Reading, Lancaster, Harrisburg, and now in Philadelphia, PA. Her zeal to empower individuals who have often felt powerless has led her to do more advocacy work, and now Folashade has begun the steps to start her own non-profit, launching the first program, “ The Chosen Daughters,” which will focus on women’s empowerment. 

Folashade’s leadership abilities have been cultivated over the years as she has served in several leadership positions, including supervisory roles in social work and pastoring at her local church. She enjoys planning events and meetings that bring the body of Christ and the community together. She specifically enjoys empowering and encouraging other leaders through conversations, workshops, seminars, activities, and planned retreats. Folashade loves to create spaces for communities to build camaraderie, build lasting relationships, and provide safe spaces for everyone to engage freely, whatever their background. In all things, Folashade believes in the importance of obeying Christ and fulfilling your purpose in the earth. In her leisure, she enjoys going for long walks outside, reading, going to the library, and having still moments of prayer and meditation. Most fulfilling of all, she enjoys spending time with her “kiddos,” including her nieces, nephews, godchildren, and children from her church. 

Folashade will be serving the Palmer Seminary community as Moderator for the 2026-2027 school year. It is her hope that her love for ministry, servanthood, and planning will help cultivate a meaningful experience for all students. Her prayer is that every student called to seminary will enjoy their journey to the fullness of what the Lord has in store for them.
