The professors are not just teachers and spiritual mentors, but friends and servants of the students. I feel totally welcome here as an international student. The anxiety I had about my English was needless. People at Palmer are so humble and patient that I can freely give my voice in the classes. I am certain of the calling from God to be built and equipped through Palmer.
Palmer is clearly committed to preparing students to take up the mantle of ministry. This very commitment makes me feel at home, welcome and supported by faculty, staff and colleagues. The pervasive evidence of Palmer's commitments to excellence in scholarship as well as clear confirmation of students’ callings have me excited and actually enjoying the challenge of school. The impression Palmer has made on me leaves me no choice but to be extremely confident in both academic and ministerial pursuits of excellence and looking forward to the challenge of ministry to come.
Being away from home can be hard, but in the past few months I have come to consider Palmer my home. Whether we are in class, chapel, prayer meetings, or hanging out in the cafe, I have been surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who care for me. Palmer has become more than a school; it has proven to be an example of Christian community and a tightly knit family of believers.
