Palmer Enjoys Strong Incoming ClassPalmer Seminary added 84 students for the Fall 2007 semester, an increase of 20 percent over last fall. Twelve of the new students are recent graduates of Eastern University. Six are Brauch scholars; five are Sider scholars. The number of new full-time students more than doubled over last year. The Brauch and Sider scholarships were announced in the Spring of 2007. Brauch and Sider scholars attend Palmer for half the cost of regular tuition; Sider scholars give 10 hours per week to the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy. Said admissions director Steve Hutchison, "We really feel like we've turned a corner here. It's gratifying to know that the good word about the great things happening here is getting out." |
