Justice Conference February 22-23

Palmer Seminary's parent institution, Eastern University, is the official host institution of the 2013 Justice Conference, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 22-23, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The annual event is expected to draw people from more than 40 U.S. States and some 25 countries, as well as representatvies from hundreds of humanitarian organizations.

The goal of the conference is to provide information and to promote dialogue around justice-related issues such as human trafficking, slavery, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and human rights. Featured speakers include Eastern University alumnus Shane Claiborne, Palmer Seminary alumna Brenda Salter McNeil, theologian  Nicholas Wolterstorff, International Justice Mission's Gary Haugen, and Christian Community Development Association founder John Perkins.

Palmer and Eastern University students, faculty, staff, and alums have the opportunity to receive discounted registrations or to attend the conference free of charge in exchange for serving as volunteers.
