G. Peter Schreck Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology): Fuller Graduate School of Psychology ![]() Like the Apostle Paul, I understand Christian ministry to be about helping people become mature in Christ. Growth toward such maturity is a function of a growing knowledge of God and a growing knowledge of self. The two go together, for, as Calvin observed, we can't really know God if we don't know ourselves, and we can't really know ourselves if we don't know God. Teaching pastoral care at Palmer draws me into the vital, dynamic pursuit of that knowledge again and again-and I love it. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. G. Peter Schreck is in private practice as a marriage and family therapist. He frequently speaks at conferences and leads workshops, seminars, and retreats dealing with issues pertaining to marriage and families. |
