Dr. Mayra Picos-Lee has extensive experience in the areas of counseling, library science, and human resources. She is currently teaching in the areas of pastoral care and counseling, and marriage and family systems for Palmer's Master and Doctoral programs. She is also engaged in teaching experiences abroad, having taught at Universidad Peruana Union in Lima, Peru (Family Systems Models and psychotherapy)and at the Pastoral Counseling Conferences in Guadalajara and Chiapas, Mexico.

As an instructional librarian, Mayra has designed and implemented various projects related to the improvement of library services at Palmer Seminary, such as the development of instructional tools and tutorial research modules for use by seminary students and faculty.
Dr. Picos-Lee also works as a family therapist at Kairos Counseling Center in Devon, Pa. Her counseling experience includes working with bicultural and immigrant individuals and families dealing with relational issues in their families.

As an administrator, Mayra has professional experience and training as a human resources manager for private corporations at which she formerly worked in her native country of Mexico.
